SSM Charitable Foundation was establish in 2019, just before the COVID-19 pandemic. Our original vision for inter-faith activities and gatherings to promote harmony between people and the natural environment took a back-seat during the pandemic when our local communities were suffering. We turned our attention to food aid – supporting the existing supporters such as local neighbourhood centres and church soup kitchens. We collected and delivered thousands of items of groceries and essential items. Post-pandemic, we are re-grouping on our vision and objectives by delivering two major gatherings each year – the Palki Festival and the Ganga Aarti festival which honours the life-giving rivers. This year in 2024 we are delighted that our event will be attended by elders from the First Nations Turrbul peoples who will join us to honour and praise the river.
Our Objectives

To conduct activities that promote the innate spirituality in the natural environment, animals and human beings
To promote Vedic and Hindu knowledge, wisdom and practices.
